SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Crewe. This full-time, long-term role involves working 1-1 with a student, providing tailored support and facilitating an inclusive educational experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide 1-1 support to a student with special educational needs, ensuring they engage fully in lessons and school activities.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the student's individual needs and abilities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor the student's progress and collaborate with teachers and parents to provide updates and insights.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.
- Assist with the student's physical needs as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in an SEN support role within a school environment.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
