An established and highly regarded independent accountancy firm ideally located between Chelmsford and Colchester is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Semi Senior Accountant.

The Role

This role is ideal for an individual seeking a step up from trainee, or perhaps someone who is working as a Semi Senior currently and is looking for wider exposure to accounts as well as audit responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a mix of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Completing corporation tax computations and submissions
• Preparing, reviewing, and filing VAT returns
• Preparing personal tax returns
• Managing client relationships and responding to queries
• Assisting with audit assignments
• Working closely with senior accountants

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 2 3 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines confidently
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS
