Job Description
Job Overview

Full time daily supply teaching assistant available immediately. The role has flexible opportunities ideal for SEMH Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings in Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help pupils access learning.
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and target setting.
Qualifications
  • Recent experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a primary school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Confidence working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
