Full time daily supply teaching assistant available immediately. The role has flexible opportunities ideal for SEMH Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings in Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans.
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help pupils access learning.
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour strategies.
- Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and target setting.
- Recent experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a primary school setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
- Confidence working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
- Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Pay depends on experience.
