We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team in Woking. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, personalised learning experiences for pupils with emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges, fostering resilience and academic progress within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver and evaluate tailored lessons for SEMH pupils in line with the National Curriculum and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress and adapt interventions to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCO, counsellors, parents and external agencies to ensure a cohesive support network.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies, restorative practices and wellbeing programmes.
- Contribute to whole-school SEMH policy development, staff training and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, produce timely reports and participate in multidisciplinary review meetings.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Education, Psychology or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 2?years) teaching pupils with SEMH needs in mainstream or specialist settings.
- Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks (SEND Code of Practice, Ofsted guidance).
