About Storyybrook

Storyybrook is a relational, trauma-informed SEMH primary provision for pupils aged 5-11. We believe behaviour is communication and create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where young people feel understood, supported and able to thrive.

Our approach is centred around strong relationships, consistency and adapting learning to meet the needs of each individual child.

The Role

We are looking for a committed and reflective Primary Teacher who understands the complexities of SEMH and is passionate about making a meaningful difference.

This role is not just about delivering lessons. It is about building trust, creating a calm and consistent environment, and supporting children to re-engage with learning at a pace that works for them.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support both the academic and emotional development of pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of needs, including SEMH and SEND
  • Support pupils to regulate, engage and build positive relationships
  • Use a relational, trauma-informed approach to behaviour
  • Create a calm, structured and predictable classroom environment
  • Assess and monitor both academic and holistic progress
  • Contribute to individual learning plans and reviews
  • Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals
  • Support reintegration pathways where appropriate
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS
  • Experienced or confident in working with pupils with SEMH and/or SEND
  • Calm, patient and able to remain consistent under pressure
  • Strong in building relationships with children who may initially struggle to engage
  • Reflective in practice and open to continuous development
  • Flexible and adaptable in their approach
  • Committed to inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
What We Offer
  • A supportive and experienced team
  • Small class sizes and a relational approach
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • A positive and collaborative working environment
  • A strong focus on staff wellbeing
  • The opportunity to be part of a growing, purpose-driven organisation
  • The chance to make a genuine, lasting difference to young people's lives
Safeguarding
