Security Receptionist - Kingsway DCResponsible to: DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager
Department: Profit & Asset Protection - Security
Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
Role Overview: To act as the first professional point of contact for all colleagues, visitors and contractors, entering Kingsway DC. We're looking for someone who's organised, will take charge whilst making sure our security processes remain tight. We're looking for a highly motivated team player to join our Profit & Asset Protection team who has excellent communication and problem solving skills who will complement our security department.
Key Duties/Responsibilities- To make sure the Security Reception desk is kept clean/tidy and manned at all times, whilst on duty and all visitors/contractors are correctly logged into the site
- To monitor and ensure correct operation of the existing CCTV system at the relevant desks
- To ensure all provided security equipment is in proper use at all times
- To ensure all staff sign in are in possession/wearing of appropriate identification, and enrolled into access systems where appropriate. All authorised staff are to be logged onto the buildings access control system and records maintained
- To prevent unauthorised access of any persons within the Kingsway Site
- To ensure strict controls of vehicles permitted to enter the site and they are parked in authorised spaces and not causing inconvenience or hazards to others. All staff vehicles are correctly logged onto the system provided
- To keep an accurate and up to date record of all daily duties
- Review CCTV evidence as necessary
- To complete site audits as directed by the DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager
- To maintain strict controls on keys and access cards at all times, ensuring all keys and cards are accounted for and are signed in and out when required
- To maintain total confidentiality of all aspects of the business learnt during your employment
- To support the security teams where required in line with the business needs
- To assist with enquiries and investigation as required
- To complete any ad hoc tasks as directed by the DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager
- Ability to deal with a variety of calls and signpost correctly and timely
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, including excel and outlook
- Previous experience within a similar role is advantageous
- Attention to detail and accuracy
