Job Description
Shift Pattern

This is a 2-week rotating schedule:

Week 1

  • Tue-Thu: 19:00-07:00 (night shifts)

  • Sat-Sun: 07:00-19:00 (day shifts)

Week 2

  • Tue-Sat: 19:00-07:00 (all night shifts)

So you're doing a mix of days and nights, with Week 2 being heavier on nights.

Pay

  • Current rate: £12.21/hour

  • From April 1st: £12.71/hour

Weekly (based on 60 hours):

  • Now: £732.60/week

  • From April: £762.60/week

Estimated Monthly Pay (before tax):

  • Now: £2,930/month

  • From April: £3,050/month

Pay is monthly, not weekly.

Location

  • Foston, Derbyshire

  • Important: You'll likely need your own transport (not easily accessible by public transport).

Role Overview

  • Working in a gatehouse

  • Controlling entry and exit to the site

  • Monitoring access (possibly some admin/logging)

  • Likely a quiet but responsibility-heavy role

Requirements / Preferences

  • Good communication skills

  • Flexible (willing to cover extra shifts)

  • CCTV licence (not required but a plus)

  • Own transport is basically essential

Company (Britsafe)

  • 30 years in the security industry

  • Based in York

  • 24/7 control room support

  • Emphasis on accurate pay tracking system

This is a licensed role so applicants must have a valid SIA licence. Applicants without such a licence will be automatically rejected.

Own transport is required due to location of site.
