The Historic Dockyard Chatham, the best preserved of all Georgian dockyards, is the world's most complete dockyard of the Age of Sail. Today, it is a leading example of a mixed-use heritage estate, delivering outstanding preservation, an award-winning museum, commercial estate, Higher Education campus, film location, and residential community.

As a registered charity employing over 140 staff and 300 volunteers, our community is centered around people. We strive for excellence and are passionate about our work, which includes historic building preservation, engaging diverse audiences, and maintaining the significance of the former Royal Dockyard.

The Role

You will be responsible for granting and monitoring access, conducting patrols, responding to alarms and breaches, and enforcing safety procedures. Duties include assisting visitors, residents, contractors, emergency services, monitoring CCTV, controlling access, and reporting concerns. A current SIA licence is required.
