Preparing and typing correspondence, documentation, and reports
Opening, maintaining, and updating client files and internal systems
Preparing documentation for meetings and appointments
Liaising professionally with clients, solicitors, barristers, courts, and other relevant parties
Handling incoming telephone calls and correspondence professionally and confidentially
Managing diaries, appointments, meetings, and deadlines
Assisting with the preparation and organisation of files and documentation
Monitoring deadlines and ensuring paperwork is prepared within required timescales
Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the wider team
Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive client information
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the office
Supporting solicitors and colleagues with general administrative requirements
Building knowledge of legal processes and procedures through on-the-job trainingThe Person Previous experience in a strong administrative, secretarial, or office-based role is essential
Previous legal experience is not required
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong typing and document preparation skills
Ability to manage a busy workload and competing priorities
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Confident communicating with clients and external contacts
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems
A willingness to learn and develop within a new sector
Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team
Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
