We are looking to recruit a well organised secretary to assist in the provision of a comprehensive and efficient secretarial/administrative support service to the Clinical Therapies.
This entails supporting the varying senior managers and clinicians within the Clinical Therapies Team.
Applicants should be self motivated, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision, prioritise work and deal with complex/sensitive issues. An understanding of information governance/confidentiality procedures and knowledge of records management processes are important aspects of the post. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and team working skills and have experience of supporting and encouraging others whilst working in a demanding office environment.
The successful applicant will have proven recent experience in a secretarial/administrative role, the ability to take concise minutes and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Main duties of the jobThe Clinical Therapies Corporate Secretarial Team provides a professional and comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the Clinical Therapies Team - Clinical Specialties Division.
This will include supporting the Senior Management Team to ensure delivery of the core business functions within the Clinical Therapies Team.

Person Specification Qualifications & Training- Good standard of general education
- GCSE English Language - minimum grade C or equivalent
- Office Management or similar qualification
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal
- Able to deal sensitively and professionally with all queries
- Maintain confidentiality at all times - Data Protection Act (1998)
- Able to work within a team environment
- Flexible approach to enable changing demands to be accommodated effectively
- Accurate and careful working to ensure high standard of work produced
- Proven recent experience in a secretarial / administrative role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software - Word and Excel in particular
- Working knowledge of office procedures
- Proven experience in an administrative role within a healthcare environment
- Working knowledge of a mainframe IT system
- Experience of recruitment procedures
- Service improvement training
- Understanding of information governance/confidentiality procedures and knowledge of records management processes
- Ability to take concise minutes
