We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Hastings, supporting students across the school to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and is ready to start ASAP in a rewarding school based role.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons across the secondary age range
• Working closely with teachers to deliver classroom learning
• Providing 1:1 and small group support where needed
• Encouraging positive behaviour and student engagement
• Supporting students' emotional wellbeing and confidence
• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily school routines
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

Training & Career Development

• Ongoing support and guidance from experienced school staff

Candidate Profile

• Patient, proactive, and adaptable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident supporting secondary aged students
• Able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
• Previous school or youth work experience is desirable but not essential
• A genuine passion for supporting young people in education

Salary & Benefits

• £100 - £115 per day
