Job Description
SENDCo Secondary School (Merton) 
- London Borough of Merton, South West London Inner London MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) - £206.75 - 320.49 per day PAYE Long-term to permanent contract - full-time (term time only) ASAP start
- Lead and strategically manage SEND provision across the academy
- Raise attainment and progress for pupils with SEND
- Manage and develop a team of Teaching Assistants and SEND support colleagues
- Deliver training and CPD to staff, developing all teachers as teachers of SEND
- Coordinate EHCPs, annual reviews, referrals, and new applications
- Confidently manage EHCP/IEP processes and documentation
- Implement local and national learning strategies (literacy, numeracy, KS3/KS4/KS5)
- Support inclusive teaching practices across departments
- Work collaboratively with families and external agencies
- Must hold NASENCo or NPQSENDCo (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
- Confident in leading annual reviews and managing EHCP/IEP processes
- Experienced in leading teams and delivering staff training
- A clear, strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
- Able to work proactively and independently within a busy secondary setting
- Passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for young people
