A supportive and inclusive secondary school in the WV1 area of Wolverhampton is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on classroom experience while developing the skills needed for a future career in teaching, educational psychology, pastoral support or SEND.
The RoleAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across a range of secondary subjects
- Work with pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, resources and lesson preparation
- Support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
- Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A 2:1 degree or above in any subject
- Strong GCSE and A Level results (or equivalent academic background)
- A genuine interest in working with young people in education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive and resilient attitude
Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.
