We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Pastoral Manager to join a thriving secondary school in Slough. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate individual who can provide outstanding pastoral support and help ensure students receive the guidance and care they need to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and external agencies to promote student welfare, attendance, behaviour, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pastoral support across assigned year groups.
• Support students facing social, emotional, behavioural, or attendance challenges.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Monitor student welfare and contribute to safeguarding processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and outcomes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a pastoral, welfare, safeguarding, or student support role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and case management abilities.
• A genuine commitment to supporting young people and removing barriers to learning.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practice.
