Shift patterns:

• Early: 06:00 - 14:30
• Middle: 08:00 - 16:30
• Late: 10:30 - 19:00
• Weekend shifts: 10:30 - 19:00 (working every other weekend)

£14.61 per hour

Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll help lead and motivate the kitchen team, maintain excellent food standards, and ensure our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of taste, presentation and portion control.
• Support the Head Chef in leading and motivating the kitchen team to deliver an efficient and professional catering service.
• Take responsibility for your shift, organising kitchen operations and supporting smooth day-to-day service.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance, including temperature checks, safe food handling and storage procedures.
• Manage kitchen resources effectively, helping to control stock, reduce waste and ensure ingredients are used efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the wider catering team, supporting continuous improvement and developing your own skills and knowledge.

What you bring:

• Previous experience working in a similar Second Chef or catering role within a busy hospitality or service environment.
• A recognised catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards and safe food handling practices.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements within a catering environment.
• A positive, team-focused approach with the ability to support kitchen operations and deliver excellent service.
