Seasonal Receptionist/General Assistant - Fermain Valley Hotel

Location: Guernsey, Channel Islands

Salary: £14.32 per hour + service charge + excellent staff benefits

Job Type: Full-time Seasonal 5 days out of 7

We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist/General Assistant to provide excellent guest service at Fermain Valley Hotel. The role will involve welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, supporting the front office team during peak periods, and operating the shuttle bus between the hotel and the airport.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests to the hotel and ensure they are comfortable.
  • Assist guests to their rooms with luggage.
  • Support reception team during peak periods.
  • Drive shuttle bus between the two hotels on Guernsey and airport pickups.
  • Work a full time schedule of 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis, for the seasonal period from the beginning of May to the beginning of October 2026.
Qualifications
  • Active and enthusiastic with a welcoming and friendly nature.
  • Previous experience in front office of a luxury four or five star hotel.
  • Strong computer skills with confidence navigating hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office; experience with Opera highly desirable.
  • Valid driving licence and must be over the age of 21.
  • Pride in delivering consistently high standards and attention to detail.
