National Star has a fantastic new opportunity for a Night Lead Facilitator. The Night Lead Facilitator will support the Residential Deputy Night Manager in the successful running of all the residences on campus during the night by ensuring that the highest standards of care are provided to the service users, as well as ensuring the optimum health and wellbeing of service users at all times.
This role involves supervising colleagues and supporting service users in their residential setting during the night. It is a fast-paced role with a high level of responsibility, working alongside other care professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with the Residential Deputy Night Manager to provide support and care to help service users make the most of their time at National Star and promote independent living.
- Supporting individuals with complex physical and learning disabilities, including challenging behaviours, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
- Remaining awake, alert, and active throughout the night shift; sleeping during breaks is not permitted.
- Managing staff, shift handovers, allocation, sickness, and covering shifts, including recording return-to-work conversations.
- Ensuring team efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to staffing budgets and managing staff breaks.
- Undertaking care audits on colleagues.
- Delivering personal care in accordance with National Star standards and individual care plans, including washing, dressing, toileting, continence support, and personal appearance maintenance.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a minimum qualification of Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week) available all year round.
