SCIENTIST MASS SPECTROMETRY & PROTEOMICS

Function

• As an analytical scientist, you are involved in the (bio)-pharmaceutical drug development process of our clients.
• You are responsible for the development of complex LC-MS/MS methods for proteins, peptides, small molecules and/or oligonucleotides.
• You deliver data and reports according to high scientific and quality standards.
• You interact with our clients to discuss scientific aspects.
• You represent AnaBioTec/anacura in scientific conferences.

Profile

• PhD (or Master equivalent by experience) in scientific field with a strong focus on mass spectrometry, related to proteins, peptides and/or oligonucleotides.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS method development and troubleshooting, preferentially in the field of proteomics.
• Experience with high resolution mass spectrometry platforms (ideally combined with micro- and/or nano-flow chromatography) is essential.
• Experience in targeted proteomics (PRM/SRM) and/or untargeted proteomics (DDA, TMT; DIA), including the most common proteomic software tools (e.g. MaxQuant, Spectronaut, DIA-NN, Proteome Discoverer and/or Skyline).
• Knowledge in DOE and statistics is an additional asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex investigations. Capable of working to the highest quality standards required to support development, qualification and validation of LC-MS based methods.
• Demonstrated ability of leadership and strategic thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic laboratory environment to project timelines.
• Ability to work in a team to respond quickly and reliably to customer needs.
• Knowledge of the latest regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent organization and communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
