Scientist III - LCMS - Pharma
The role performs complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products using LCMS instrumentation, calculates and analyses data, writes reports and protocols, leads projects, interacts with clients, and ensures compliance with GMP, SOPs and regulatory standards. The position is based at the GMP Laboratory in Athlone and provides testing services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Independently perform method validations, method transfers and analytical testing of pharmaceutical compounds in various formulations.
- Design and complete experiments with minimal supervision.
- Prepare study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other technical documents.
- Communicate data and technical issues to the client and respond to client needs.
- Mentor, train and coordinate laboratory activities of other team members and assist in troubleshooting instruments and analytical problems.
- Assist in designing method validation or transfer protocols and establishing project timelines.
- Review data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and GMP.
- Educated to a bachelor's degree in a relevant area such as chemistry or biochemistry.
- 5+ years' relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory, handling LCMS instrumentation such as LCMS QQQ/Sciex 6500 or similar, Orbitrap or other high resolution LCMS instrumentation, and complex data evaluation and processing.
- Experience in Method Validation, Method Transfer and Analytical testing.
- Detailed knowledge of method validation; method development would be an advantage.
- The ability to plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completion.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Excellent attention to detail.
