- Assist in planning, developing and organising equipment, systems, policies and procedures for the specialist technical area
- Participate in the development of science practical work and technical features to meet teaching/learning needs
- Advise staff of technical requirements needed in the scheme of work
- Prepare apparatus and materials for use in science lessons and project work, as requested by science teaching staff
