Science Teacher - Permanent (September 2026 Start)

Stevenage, Hertfordshire Full-time Permanent £32,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

REED Education are delighted to be working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" secondary school in Stevenage to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026.

This high-achieving secondary school is recognised for its excellent academic standards, positive behaviour culture, and supportive senior leadership team. The Science department is well-resourced, collaborative, and benefits from strong schemes of work across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The Role

The school is seeking a Science Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 desirable but not essential). Specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are all welcome to apply. You will join a forward-thinking department that values innovation, consistency, and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - preferred but not essential
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience or a strong science background will be considered
  • Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment
