Science Teacher

New Directions is seeking a Supply Science Teacher to work across secondary schools in Conwy. You'll step into supportive departments, deliver engaging lessons across the sciences, and keep students motivated and on track. It's a great fit if you enjoy the buzz of different classrooms and want the flexibility to shape your own schedule while still making a real impact.

If you specialise in teaching biology, physics, or chemistry and are seeking a role in a school, we've got opportunities for you, especially if you're a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or interested in supply teaching.

As a Science Teacher you'll be expected to:

• Hold QTS status
• Teach all areas of your subject specialism
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
• Maintain discipline
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
