School Support Assistant - fixed term until 29/06/2027.
Balerno Community High School, a fully comprehensive non denominational high school located in the southwest of Edinburgh.
Salary £26,806-£27,032 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 24.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. If the candidate has spent a continuous period of 3+ months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. These checks must be satisfied before an unconditional offer of employment and commencement.
Responsibilities- Support general administration, including reception duties.
- Order resources and maintain accurate inventory.
- Record pupil movements accurately.
- Provide high level support to senior leadership, teaching colleagues, students, and visitors.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support senior staff and students.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to the school's values of excellence, resilience, respect, honesty and inclusion.
