School Caretaker

Overview

We are currently on the hunt for a school caretaker to join our fantastic team at Verve People. Verve People are a staffing agency supplier providing temporary and permanent staff to businesses across the country. This role will be based within Greater Manchester but may involve travelling to other schools to support. It will involve split shifts (opening and closing the school).

Responsibilities

• open the school ready for the day
• security and property walks
• empty rubbish and litter pick
• cleaning of classrooms, dining areas, toilets and public areas
• restocking cleaning supplies
• conduct basic H&S testing (legionella, fire alarm and security)
• closing and securing the school at the end of the day

Requirements

• Hard working with strong interpersonal skills and great attention to detail
• Can demonstrate a passion for exceeding expectations
• The ability to multi task and work unsupervised
• Effective communication skills and approachable to members and other staff
