Summary

The Governors of Holy Saviour RC Primary School are appointing a School Business Manager to join our active school team. The role is full time, Monday Friday, 37 hours per week, throughout the academic year with responsibilities during school holidays. The successful candidate will deliver high quality finance, budgeting and administrative support, maintain daily operational efficiency, and drive business development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive financial management and budgeting for the school.
  • Maintain and operate school systems, including SIMS, SIMS Personnel, SIMS.net, and ParentPay.
  • Prepare and manage financial reports and statutory accounts.
  • Implement business development initiatives to enhance financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate payroll and personnel administration.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy and decision making.
Essential Qualifications
  • GCSE in English Language and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Certificate in School Business Management or a comparable finance qualification.
Essential Experience
  • Relevant experience in finance.
  • Experience of SIMS (FMS) and SIMS Personnel.
  • Experience of SIMS.net, SIMS FMS and ParentPay.
  • Experience of setting up and operating school systems.
  • Accountancy experience or qualification.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of premises and grounds maintenance.
  • Experience of leading performance management of staff.
  • Experience of preparing and submitting bids for funding from external agencies, including lettings.
