Role Summary

Barnacre Road is a welcoming primary school committed to developing pupils academically, personally and spiritually. We seek a hardworking, innovative and dedicated School Business Manager to join our team from September 2026. The successful candidate will support the school in meeting its primary function of raising standards and improving outcomes for children through strategic vision and leadership in financial management, resource and administration management, GDPR, HR and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for all aspects of financial management.
  • Oversee resource and administration management, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, HR policies and safeguarding standards.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including parents, staff and external partners.
Essential Qualifications
  • GCSEs A -C (or equivalent) including English & Maths
  • Qualification in School Business Management (CSBM), an equivalent qualification or the willingness to complete
Desirable Qualifications
  • HR Qualifications, such as CIPD
Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in finance and personnel management
  • Experience of working in a school environment in an administrative role and experience of financial management
  • Ability to plan, monitor and manage delegated budgets with high numeracy and accuracy
  • Able to prepare and present financial data, evaluate, clarify and explain findings
Desirable Experience
  • Successful management of a small team
  • Experience of management of lettings
Employment Details
  • Part time, term time only.
  • Salary quoted is full time equivalent; successful candidates will be paid pro rata.
