About the Role
As School Business Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of our operations. Working closely with the Headteacher and SLT, you will ensure the effective management of the school's finances, site, administration, and personnel. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied, high-impact position and enjoys being at the heart of a busy and successful school.

Key Responsibilities - School Business Manager
• Lead on all aspects of financial management, ensuring value for money and compliance
• Oversee premises management, including health & safety, maintenance, and development projects
• Manage HR functions, including safer recruitment, payroll liaison, and staff records
• Line manage the admin team and site staff to ensure efficient and effective support services
• Play a key role in school improvement planning and strategic decision-making
• Maintain strong links with the Local Authority and external providers
• Support income generation and community engagement, including lettings and bids
• Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and data protection

We Are Looking For - School Business Manager
A highly motivated and organised professional who:
• Holds a recognised business/management qualification (e.g. CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent)
• Has proven experience in finance, premises, and HR management-ideally in an educational setting
• Is a confident communicator and collaborative leader
• Can demonstrate strategic thinking and operational excellence
• Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and is adept at prioritising
• Has a strong working knowledge of ICT systems, financial software, and data protection
