School Bus Supervisor (City Zone)

Location: Brighton

Salary: £9,979 per annum, this is at an hourly rate of £12.72

Brighton College is seeking to appoint a School Bus Supervisor (City Zone).

Reporting to: Deputy Transport Manager

Main purpose of the role: To ensure the safe and orderly boarding, travel, and departure of pupils on the school bus. The Bus Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing student safety, managing boarding and disembarking procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supervising pupils during bus journeys to ensure safety and discipline.
2. Assisting with the boarding and alighting of students.
3. Monitoring the condition of the bus and reporting any issues.
4. Ensuring students follow safety rules and behave appropriately.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and authoritative in various situations.
