Job Description

We are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced School Office Administrator to support the day to day operation of a busy school office.

This is a hands on role requiring an individual who already understands how a school environment operates and can manage a varied workload with minimal direction.

Applicants must have prior experience working with school MIS systems, specifically SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and updating pupil and staff records using SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor
  • Supporting attendance, admissions and data administration processes
  • Providing high quality administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff
  • Managing front of house duties, including telephone and visitor enquiries
  • Processing emails, letters and internal communications
  • Supporting safeguarding and compliance administration in line with school policies
  • Coordinating meetings, room bookings and general office activity
  • Ensuring data protection and confidentiality standards are consistently upheld
Requirements
  • Has previous experience working in a school office or similar education setting
  • Is confident using SIMS, Bromcom and Arbor as part of their daily work
  • Has a sound understanding of safeguarding procedures within schools
  • Is well organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Can communicate professionally with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies
  • Works accurately and remains calm in a busy and sometimes pressured environment
  • Is able to work independently without the need for training or close supervision
