School Administration Assistant, Law (LAW093S)

Job Description

The work is varied and interesting and will involve contact with the student body as well as staff. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual. You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a supportive team within a busy but friendly environment. You should have excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, although training will be provided. You should have experience in an administrative role, ideally with knowledge and experience of a higher education environment.

The successful applicant will work as a member of a team of administrative staff based within the Taylor Building on the Old Aberdeen campus. Whilst the post holder will have specific administrative responsibilities, flexibility is required and opportunities to take responsibility for other areas of work may arise or become necessary.

You will have experience of working within a busy office environment with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and students. Experience of working in a Higher Education environment would be advantageous.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3, £26,565 - £27,920 per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience
