The Scheduler & Transport Co Ordinator will be responsible for the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of transport and logistics to support NUA Arklow's manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely delivery of products and the efficient use of transport resources and requires close coordination with internal teams Head of Operations Arklow, suppliers, and transport partners to meet program and production requirements.
This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting project timelines, and ensuring health, safety, and compliance standards are upheld across all transport activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties- Support production schedules, to ensure efficiency and operational continuity
- Working closely with the operations teams to ensure customers' needs are met and dates are accurately scheduled
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Communicating effectively with key stakeholders to ensure they are kept up to date with any changes to the plan
- Resolving all queries and complaints promptly and effectively
- Ensuring future deliveries are on the production schedule within agreed timescales.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate transport and logistics activities supporting NUA's manufacturing operations.
- Manage transport providers and monitor service performance.
- Plan daily and weekly transport aligned to manufacturing schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NUA Health & Safety standards.
- Promote safe loading, unloading and transport practices.
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses.
- Support a strong safety first culture.
- Experience of production scheduling in a factory or MMC environment.
- Knowledge of planning and supporting production and scheduling systems.
- Experience working with external transport providers.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Communication with production, warehouse and transport teams.
- Problem solving and adaptability in a live production environment.
- Strong IT skills including Excel and scheduling tools.
