Day Rate: £382.50 (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 1-2 months
About the Role
We are seeking a SCADA Test Analyst to join a short-term contract assignment in Warwick. The role will involve hands-on testing across the full test life cycle, with a focus on Power Network Control Systems and associated telemetry-based products. This is a key opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst with strong knowledge of Real Time operations and control systems to contribute to business-critical testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality test assurance across all phases of the test life cycle.
- Test Real Time operations for Power Network Control Systems, including telemetry-based products, communications protocols (IEC101), alarm management, network monitoring and forecasting, display (mimics), workflow management, and historian systems.
- Apply strong business process-based test experience, ensuring complex business processes are clearly understood, followed, and explained.
- Design and develop test assets, including user stories, test scenarios, and JIRA reports (JQL etc.).
- Produce clear and concise documentation, including test plans, reports, and defect logs.
- Use MS Office and Excel effectively for reporting and analysis.
Candidate Profile
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong background in Test Quality Assurance.
- Experience with Real Time Power Network Control Systems and related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of telemetry-based products and communications protocols (IEC101).
- Strong business process-based test experience.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and document test cases and scenarios.
- Hands-on experience using JIRA and MS Office/Excel.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Further expertise in SCADA systems, alarm management, forecasting tools, workflow management, and historian systems.
- Strong end-to-end testing knowledge and ability to work independently within time-critical projects.
