Job Description

Our government client is looking for 4 x Data Engineers to begin ASAP. Please see below for role description and details.

- Hybrid, 2 days per week on site in Swansea, Wales
- Inside IR35
- SC clearance required
- 3-6 months initially + longer extensions expected

Role details:
The team are migrating SSIS packages and SSAS cubes to Databricks and Spark Declarative Pipelines (previously known as Delta Live Tables). This is mostly SQL knowledge but some familiarity with Python on Databricks will be beneficial.

SSIS and SSAS are on premise, and Databricks is a cloud solution on Azure. The client will handle the difficult elements on moving the data from on-premise to the cloud, so you will be working with data already in the cloud storage and already available in Databricks, replicating the SSIS packages.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
