An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking weekend only work or additional hours to complement an existing role.

The practice is a proudly independent, RCVS accredited small animal practice located in a highly desirable town in South East Wales. The role requires a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to work every Saturday from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

This role offers the reassurance of no sole charge, with the successful candidate working alongside another experienced Veterinary Surgeon. Clinical duties will primarily involve consultations, with occasional involvement in wards depending on inpatient needs.

The practice operates across two sites, with this role based at the main branch where consultations and the majority of surgical procedures take place. Hospitalised patients are cared for on site, with separate cat, dog, and small furry wards, ensuring a calm and stress free environment for all patients.

Facilities are modern and comprehensive, including an on site laboratory for rapid diagnostics, as well as X ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and dental equipment. The practice also offers hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and acupuncture, providing a truly well rounded clinical environment.

Benefits
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Competitive salary £40,000 - £60,000 DOE (FTE)
  • Generous CPD allowance
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Flexible working options
  • Clean, well equipped workspace
  • And much more

The practice is located in a popular and picturesque town, widely regarded as an excellent place to live. Known for its historic charm, independent shops, castle, and scenic Wye Valley surroundings, the area offers a superb balance of lifestyle and convenience. With good schools, plentiful outdoor activities, and strong transport links to Bristol and Cardiff, it is particularly attractive to families and commuters alike.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking a rewarding, low commitment weekend role within a supportive and forward thinking practice.
