SAP SD Functional/Test Consultant - English Speaking - Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid: 3-4 days remote per week). Permanent Job - Flexible Start Date From January 2026 Onwards. Salary up to HUF 2,200,000 gross per month + Benefits.

Our client is a consulting firm based in Budapest, Hungary. They're looking to hire an SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) Functional Consultant to join their team for an exciting global project. In this position you will be responsible for managing functional, process testing and rollout activities in the relevant area for various regional deployments within a global project. You will be part of the global team, gaining visibility into the end-to-end process and acquiring process knowledge from design through to global rollout in S/4HANA.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Defining the global, regional, or local test cases, test plans, test data, and other test prerequisites for the Deployment End-to-End Tests (DET) in SD workstream.
• Executing the global, regional, and local tests, and documenting them according to the system-specific framework in SAP Solution Manager and the existing PMM and CSV rules.
• Coordinating testing activities with potential external partners (eg, 3PL), as required.
• Handling defect management within and potentially across streams.
• Ensuring all testing activities are performed according to the project plan/schedule.
• Setting up proper status reporting for test execution to provide visibility of progress to the Test Management team and other stakeholders.
• Cooperating across the RSS Regional Testing Service Hub, where different regions support each other in critical situations to ensure bottlenecks are covered and project timelines are met.
• Collaborating with the commercial team to understand business requirements and processes, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Participating in the design phase to gain deep insights into the business processes and translating them into testing specifications.
• Engaging in the rollout phase to ensure smooth implementation and transition, gaining comprehensive process knowledge from the initial design to final deployment.
• Working within S/4HANA to leverage advanced features and capabilities for efficient testing and implementation.
• Gaining comprehensive visibility into the end-to-end process, with opportunities for professional development in new areas and hands-on experience with the latest features.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' of SAP SD Functional Consulting experience
• Must have SD testing experience
• Must have the ability to analyze, design, describe & test the solutions from an E2E business process understanding.
• Must have broad knowledge of SAP SD business processes, policies and programs.
• Vast knowledge of process-based/cross-process IT systems (ERP and decentralized systems) and the respective applications.
• Strong Stakeholder management, communication and change management skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to resolve a variety of routine and complex issues and to describe the business requirements accordingly.

Nice to have but not mandatory:

• SAP Solution Manager testing tool experience is an advantage.
• S/4HANA experience is nice to have.

Languages:

• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Salary Package:

• The Fixed Basic Salary on offer is highly competitive and subject to your level of skills, knowledge and experience, ranging up to HUF 2,200,000 gross per month.

Location of Work/Remote Working:

• This is a hybrid job based in Budapest City Center and the expectation is for you to come into the office 1-2 days per week.
• Therefore a maximum of 4 days remote work per week is permitted.
• You will be expected to travel to customer sites as per the needs of the project.

Other Information:

• Sponsorship for a Hungarian work visa is possible, but lead times are currently 6 - 12 months so candidates with EU Citizenship or Hungarian Permanent Residency status are preferred.
