SAP Operations Finance & Tax Expert - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid (London)

We're looking for a senior SAP Operations Finance & Tax Expert to support financial transformation and compliance initiatives within a large enterprise SAP environment. This is a hands-on functional role focused on GL, Asset Accounting, operational finance processes, and tax configuration.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and optimise SAP FI-GL, Asset Accounting (AA), and CO modules.
• Design and maintain chart of accounts, account groups, cost centres, internal orders, and profit centres.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities across multiple entities.
• Configure VAT, GST, Withholding Tax, and regulatory tax reporting processes.
• Ensure integration across SAP FI, CO, MM, and SD modules.
• Support legal compliance requirements including local GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Participate in interface development and integration initiatives with external financial and tax systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and drive improvements.
• Provide support across multiple sites and jurisdictions.

What You Will Ideally Bring

• 10+ years of SAP Finance experience with strong expertise in FI-GL, AA, and CO.
• Strong understanding of operational accounting and financial closing processes.
• Hands-on experience configuring asset accounting including depreciation processes.
• Experience with VAT/GST, withholding tax, and regulatory tax reporting in SAP.
• Strong understanding of SD-FI and MM-FI integration points.
• Knowledge of COPA, cost elements, internal orders, and profit centre accounting.
• Experience in multi-country tax compliance environments.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Fiori is advantageous.

Contract Details

Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Day Rate: Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London - Hybrid
