We are looking for a senior SAP S/4HANA MM & SD Support Consultant to join a mature, demanding SAP environment where clarity, precision, and technical credibility matter more than generic assurances.

This role is not suited to consultants who default to "yes" without depth. We are deliberately seeking someone who can clearly articulate what they know, what they do not know, and how they would close any gaps. Honest boundaries and structured thinking are valued far more than over-confidence.

Role Overview

You will operate as a hands-on MM & SD functional expert, primarily focused on RUN support, with selective involvement in enhancements and strategic initiatives. The environment requires consultants who can diagnose issues accurately, explain root causes clearly, and communicate limitations early and transparently.

Key Responsibilities

Functional SAP RUN Support (MM & SD)

• Provide end-to-end functional support across procurement, inventory management, sales, and intercompany flows.
• Resolve incidents with a strong focus on root-cause analysis rather than short-term fixes.
• Clearly document decisions, impacts, constraints, and assumptions.

Workflow Design & P2P Optimisation

• Analyse, design, and optimise P2P workflows including purchase requests, approvals, invoice matching, and exception handling.
• Support automation initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA and Brainware OCR, with a pragmatic understanding of system limits.

Projects & Enhancements

• Contribute to initiatives such as MDMT Proof of Concept, Business Partner model evolution, and e-Invoicing.
• Perform impact analysis, write clear functional specifications, and support UAT.
• Confidently highlight risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts of proposed changes.

Standardisation & Master Data Governance

• Define and apply MM/SD and master data standards.
• Support Business Partner governance and harmonisation across entities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and global templates.

Training & Documentation

• Produce clear, practical documentation that reduces support demand.
• Deliver user guidance and training; experience with SAP Enable Now is a plus.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Procurement, Finance, IT, and Global Process Owner teams.
• Communicate clearly in an international environment, including pushing back on unclear or unrealistic requirements.

Required Profile

Essential

• Strong functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA MM & SD.
• Proven experience in complex RUN support environments.
• Solid understanding of master data governance and the SAP Business Partner model.
• Ability to write precise, structured functional specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Languages: French and English (spoken and written).
