SAP Systems Analyst

Overview

A global pharma organisation is seeking a SAP MM/PP Analyst to support and optimise key business systems within a highly regulated environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, design solutions, oversee system enhancements, and ensure ongoing operational excellence. This position plays a crucial part in delivering reliable enterprise systems that support scientific, operational, and business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessment and blueprinting for system enhancements and projects, ensuring solutions align with architectural standards and deliver expected business value.
• Ensure consistent, harmonised, and effective delivery of SAP project execution activities in alignment with the Project Management Framework.
• Deliver functional components of enhancements and projects on time, within quality standards, and with cost efficiency.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and break/fix activities.
• Collaborate closely with internal business partners to understand needs, document requirements, and deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to manage change requests within established SLAs.
• Partner with SAP functional leads to maintain a unified global execution model.
• Gather data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in project and enhancement reviews, ensuring SLAs and governance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with architects to design system solutions supporting business requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications for conversions and enhancements.
• Coordinate with development teams and track progress of technical build activities.
• Provide end-user training and support as needed.
• Work with power/super users to troubleshoot issues arising during training or production use.
• Support root-cause analysis, major incident management, and post-mortem reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of SAP execution, project delivery, or project management experience.
• Experience working in regulated environments (eg, GxP, FDA, SOX) is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and structured IT service management processes.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA (advantageous).
• Experience working within Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various levels of stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

• Schedule: Standard Monday-Friday
• Setting: Hungary (hybrid)
• Global collaboration may require occasional cross-timezone interaction.
