Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant for a 12-month contract, with strong potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA and in-depth knowledge of Romanian localisation requirements, including legal reporting, tax compliance, and statutory financial processes.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to deliver key financial solutions, support localisation needs, and ensure compliance with Romanian fiscal regulations within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the implementation and optimisation of SAP FI modules in S/4HANA.
• Ensure full compliance with Romanian localisation requirements including SAF-T, e-Invoicing, VAT, and statutory reports.
• Collaborate with the business and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and execute system configurations.
• Provide expert-level support in areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT phases.
• Deliver user training and documentation related to Romanian-specific financial processes.
• Monitor and resolve issues, ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams and external consultants to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Stay updated on Romanian regulatory changes and align SAP configuration accordingly.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP FI Consultant.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Deep understanding and implementation experience of Romanian localisation in SAP (eg, SAF-T, D406, ANAF requirements).
• Strong knowledge of core SAP FI submodules.
• Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Romanian language is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in international and remote project teams is an advantage.

Nice to Have:

• SAP certification in Financial Accounting.
• Experience with Central Finance or multi-country rollouts.
• Familiarity with Romanian tax legislation or collaboration with Romanian tax authorities.

• Duration: 12 months (extension likely based on performance and project needs)
• Location: Remote, Romania
• Working Hours: Full-time
• rate: to be discussed/depends on experience range 300/500 euros per day
