We are seeking an experienced SAP Environment Manager to oversee the planning, coordination and governance of environments across a complex SAP transformation programme. The landscape includes SAP ECC/S/4HANA, SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll, SAP BTP, Concur and associated integration and identity services.

Working closely with programme teams, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams and implementation partners, you will ensure environments are available, appropriately configured and ready to support development, testing, training, releases and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate system refreshes, SuccessFactors instance refreshes, test data preparation and masking with the relevant technical and data teams.
  • Oversee connectivity between ECC/S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, payroll, BTP and third-party systems, including integration endpoints, certificates and authentication dependencies.
  • Coordinate identity and access requirements with security teams, including SAP IAS/IPS, single sign-on and SuccessFactors role-based permissions.
  • Maintain an integrated environment calendar covering provisioning, maintenance, refreshes, change freezes, testing and releases.
  • Coordinate SAP transports, SuccessFactors configuration movements and integration deployments with release and technical teams.
  • Assess the impact of SuccessFactors releases, SAP maintenance and support packages on programme and BAU activities.
  • Manage competing environment demands, resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate risks, outages and readiness issues.
  • Support cutover planning and the transition from ECC towards S/4HANA, ensuring connected environments remain aligned.
  • Establish clear responsibilities and working agreements across internal teams, hosting providers and delivery partners.
Essential experience
  • Proven experience as an SAP Environment Manager within a complex transformation or implementation programme.
  • Experience managing environments spanning SAP ERP and SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Strong understanding of SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll landscapes and their integration requirements.
  • Experience coordinating provisioning, refreshes, test data, configuration deployments and release schedules.
  • Understanding of SAP BTP integration services and connectivity between cloud and on-premise applications.
  • Knowledge of environment security, identity services, access controls and data protection requirements.
  • Experience supporting multiple test phases and managing dependencies between programme delivery and BAU.
  • Strong stakeholder management, supplier coordination and documentation skills.
Desirable experience
  • ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation experience.
  • SAP Concur environment and integration experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll migrations, parallel payroll testing and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager or comparable delivery and change management tools.
  • Experience working with multiple implementation partners and distributed delivery teams.
