Programme Overview

Our client is delivering a large-scale S/4HANA transformation programme, modernising core ERP systems and enterprise integrations. The SAP EDI Product Owner will play a key role in ensuring seamless electronic data interchange between SAP and external partners across the global landscape.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP EDI Product Owner to lead and own the EDI and integration stream within a major S/4HANA programme. This role will act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant EDI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the SAP EDI workstream within the S/4HANA programme

  • Act as Product Owner for all EDI and B2B integration processes

  • Define and manage the EDI roadmap and delivery backlog

  • Gather and translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions

  • Oversee design, development, and deployment of EDI interfaces

  • Manage partner onboarding and message mapping

  • Ensure integration with SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, Logistics, WM/EWM)

  • Lead testing, UAT, and cutover activities for EDI flows

  • Monitor performance, stability, and error handling processes

  • Support go-live and hypercare phases

  • Work with system integrators and Middleware teams


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP EDI and B2B integrations

  • Proven experience on S/4HANA transformation programmes

  • Experience as Product Owner, Integration Lead, or Workstream Lead

  • Deep knowledge of:

    • IDocs, EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML

    • SAP PI/PO, CPI, or BTP Integration Suite

    • Trading partner onboarding

    • Message mapping and validation

    • Monitoring and exception handling

  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills

  • Experience working in complex, multi-country programmes

  • Fluent English (French or Hungarian is a plus)

  • Comfortable working in hybrid/on-site environments


Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP AIF

  • Knowledge of API-based integrations

  • Experience with cloud integration platforms

  • Background in manufacturing, logistics, retail, or supply chain

  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience
