SAP Developer (S/4, ABAP, BTP) - 8 Months - Outside IR35

bluewaveSELECT have been retained by a global fashion retailer to engage the right SAP Developer (S/4, ABAP, BTP).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP solutions using modern ABAP and SAP BTP technologies
• Architect composable, event-driven and API-based solutions integrating SAP BTP with on-premise systems
• Contribute to S/4HANA implementations and migrations following clean core principles
• Develop and enhance applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Build and maintain integrations using OData, IDoc, RFC, Proxies, and Web Services
• Deliver Fiori applications and support key user extensibility
• Optimize performance using code pushdown techniques (CDS, AMDP, HANA modelling)
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and security standards (ATC, Onapsis)
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior developers
• Support upgrades and enhancements across SAP functional areas

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in ABAP RICEFW development across multiple functional areas
• Advanced knowledge of OO ABAP, CDS, AMDP, HANA modelling, and performance optimisation
• Solid experience with integrations including OData, IDoc, RFC, Proxy, and Web Services
• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori and key user extensibility
• Experience with SAP BTP architecture and event/API-based solution design
• Proficiency in SAP ABAP Cloud and RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Experience in S/4HANA migration/implementation and clean core extensibility
