SAP BTP Architect - Retail
SAP Business Technology Platform expertise with deep understanding of retail business processes such as merchandising, pricing, inventory, E-commerce, POS, fulfilment, and omnichannel operations.
The SAP BTP Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering scalable cloud-based solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to support retail digital transformation initiatives. The role bridges business and technology teams, ensuring seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA Retail, E-commerce platforms, POS systems, supply chain applications, and external partner systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
-Define end-to-end SAP BTP architecture aligned with enterprise and retail business strategies.
-Design extension, integration, analytics, and automation solutions using SAP BTP services.
-Develop reference architectures, standards, and governance frameworks.
-Ensure solutions follow SAP Clean Core principles and cloud best practices.
Retail Transformation
-Support retail processes including:
-Merchandising
-Pricing and promotions
-Inventory management
-Order management
-Omnichannel fulfilment
-Store operations
-Customer experience and loyalty
-Design architectures that support high transaction volumes and Real Time retail operations.
Integration Architecture
-Lead integrations between:
-SAP S/4HANA Retail
-SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository)
-E-commerce platforms
-POS systems
-WMS and logistics systems
-CRM and marketing platforms
-Third-party applications
-Utilize SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData services, Event Mesh, CPI, and Middleware technologies.
Cloud & Platform Governance
-Manage BTP subaccounts, environments, security, and platform standards.
-Define deployment, monitoring, disaster recovery, and performance strategies.
-Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management
-Work closely with business leaders, product owners, solution architects, and implementation partners.
-Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and solution designs.
-Provide technical leadership during implementations and transformation programs.
