Job Description
Sandwell Talking Therapies - Admin Volunteer

Purpose of volunteering role: To support the Sandwell Talking Therapies Admin Team, at Whiteheath Medical Centre, B69 1EJ.

This is a voluntary role which is unpaid. Must be 18+ and live within the Black Country.

Main duties of the job

This voluntary role will support the Sandwell Talking Therapies team with administrative tasks such as:

  • Printing and enveloping patient appointment letters
  • Emailing GP letters
  • Basic administration
  • Assigning patient cases on PCMIS to correct holding accounts

The role is based at Whiteheath Medical Centre, B69 1EJ. Volunteers must be able to travel to the site. Travel costs will be reimbursed.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for volunteers who have these qualities:

  • Computer skills - competent in use of email, Microsoft Office and databases
  • Organisational skills
  • Reliability: Commitment to a regular volunteer schedule to provide consistent support
  • Awareness of mental health
  • Able to follow confidentiality policy and professional boundaries for their own safety and safety of the patients
  • Live in the Black Country or Birmingham area, within a reasonable travel distance to site
  • Volunteers must be over 18
