Job Description
Position Overview

The Sales Manager - Corporate & MICE is responsible for driving revenue growth across Corporate, MICE, Group, and DMC market segments. The role focuses on developing and managing Galway-based and national corporate accounts, MICE opportunities, and DMC relationships with a destination Galway focus. The successful candidate will proactively identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Through strategic account management and targeted sales activity, the Sales Manager will maximise revenue and market share in line with the hotel's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed and converted effectively.
  • Manage key Corporate, MICE, and Group accounts to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct a minimum of 10 external sales appointments per week and maintain accurate Salesforce (SFDC) records.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and support the annual corporate contracting process.
  • Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate planners, MICE organisers, DMCs, and key decision-makers.
  • Develop account plans for key clients and ensure timely follow-up on all opportunities.
  • Conduct site inspections and client visits to support business development.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
Planning & Reporting
  • Contribute to quarterly sales action plans, annual budgets, and sales forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and support monthly sales reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all sales activity is recorded and managed effectively within SFDC.
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless delivery of contracted business.
  • Communicate guest requirements, VIP arrangements, and special requests effectively across departments.
  • Support the delivery of exceptional client and guest experiences.
Industry Representation
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, sales missions, and industry functions.
  • Promote the hotel professionally and maximise opportunities to generate new business.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel sales, corporate sales, MICE sales, or account management.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Irish corporate and MICE market desirable.
  • Full clean Irish driving licence required.
