Job description

To grow and develop customer accounts and also respond to all customer information/quotation requests to a high standard and in a timely manner, following up these requests and closing the opportunity

Key responsibilities

To actively seek out new sales opportunities and prospect new customers
To own sales opportunities independently
To manage the sales cycle from start to finish
To provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the Sector Sales Manager as specified
To qualify inbound opportunities
To proactively ensure that your own knowledge of all relevant products, services and licensing agreements is up to date
To provide support to the wider team who deal with existing customers
To maintain appropriate customer records on the Phoenix sales order processing system
Use the business tools provided to enhance your knowledge within your customer base
To adhere to relevant Key Performance Indicators for the Sales Team
Other general administrative duties
Any other reasonable request
Support objectives as defined in the company's information security policy
Perform your tasks in support of data and information security

Competencies

Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
First-rate telephone , email and IM skills
Ability to prioritise work under pressure, work without supervision and use initiative to ensure that deadlines are met
Effective time management skills with the ability to plan ahead
Commitment to see a job through to a successful conclusion
A flexible approach to the working day
A strong team player and work ethic
To be passionate about sales and providing an expectation customer service
Keen interest in technology preferable

Qualifications and experience

Educational qualifications :

GCSE Maths & English

Professional qualifications

Experience

Minimum of at least 12 months IT sales experience.
