About Our Client
I am currently recruiting a Sales Director for an ambitious British private equity backed supplier of bespoke precision engineered components supplied into a wide variety of industries and sectors.
As the OEM Sales Director, you will lead all commercial activities through both a 'hands on sales', commercial leadership and strategic sales focussed approach.
Job Description
- Take 'hands-on' ownership of the OEM customer base and continue to grow, develop and increase sales.
- Identify and drive profitable OEM new customer acquisition growth across the UK and international markets.
- Create and deliver a business development strategy to drive growth across the OEM business.
- Inherit, recruit and develop an external sales and back-office support team to drive growth.
- Conduct regular OEM customer visits and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyse sales processes and look at new ways to offer innovative nonstandard solutions.
- Undertake strategic review of markets, company competitors and opportunities for profitable growth.
- Have a structured approach with regards to CRM data and pricing tools to lead best practice across the business.
The Successful Applicant
- A proven track record as a Sales Leader within a bespoke manufacturing / supply environment where products and components are designed and manufactured for mid to high volume OEM customers.
- Track record of growing business profitably for entrepreneurial fast growth companies.
- Hands on/can do attitude with an open and likeable personality with honesty and integrity.
- Can operate equally effectively with a broad range of customers.
- People focused down to earth approach who has flexibility of thinking with what would suit a fast growth Private Equity backed SME environment.
- Excellent communication skills with natural ability to work at all levels of an organisation.
- Ambitious and high calibre individual with potential to progress career into large commercial or general management roles.
- Ideally Midlands, UK based however flexible on location for an excellent candidate.
