At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move on-chain, bridging traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching a Solana-native protocol designed to bring real-world assets into on-chain capital markets, starting by integrating with our existing Corda-based asset networks.
The Role
R3 is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Field Sales Organization. The SDR will identify and generate sales meetings and opportunities through inbound and outbound activities.
The SDR will handle inbound leads and inquiries to engage and qualify prospective customers. Additionally, they will work closely with Account Executives and the Marketing Team to create and execute outbound lead generation campaigns. The role involves conducting market research to identify opportunities in target accounts within your territory and performing outreach via email, phone, and social media. This position is crucial in executing the go-to-market strategy shaping the future of internet capital markets.
As the first point of contact for prospective clients, the SDR must demonstrate professionalism, probe for business challenges, and articulate how R3's Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology can address their needs.
Responsibilities- Respond to, engage, and qualify inbound leads to identify new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with dedicated Account Executives to build account intelligence, identify key contacts, and uncover opportunities through direct engagement and research.
- Analyze market trends as part of the GTM strategy to identify opportunities within target accounts.
- Develop and execute a prospecting plan via phone and email campaigns.
- Perform ongoing outreach through phone, email, and social channels to generate interest, set appointments, and build pipeline.
- Engage with prospects, demonstrating attention to detail and curiosity.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology to educate and nurture leads until they are ready to speak with an AE.
- Promote awareness and drive attendance at special projects and events.
- Maintain detailed records of all lead and account interactions in Salesforce.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
Required Skills
Sales Experience:- At least 2 years in business development, inside sales, or sales roles.
- Some closing experience is a strong plus.
- Proven success in exceeding targets.
- Strong understanding of SDR and lead development best practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and articulate business value.
- Experience with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and Outreach (preferred).
- Interest or background in fintech is a plus.
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient, results-oriented.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Adaptable and comfortable with change in a fast-paced startup environment.
