Job Description

At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move on-chain, bridging the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching a Solana-native protocol purpose-built to bring real-world assets into on-chain capital markets, starting by integrating with our existing Corda-based asset networks. The Role R3 is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to provide pre-sales support to our Field Sales Organization. The SDR is tasked with identifying and generating sales meetings and opportunities through both inbound and outbound activities. The SDR will service inbound leads and other inquiries with the goal of engaging and qualifying prospective customers. Additionally, the SDR will align closely with our Account Executives and Marketing Team to create and execute outbound lead generation campaigns. This role involves conducting market research to identify opportunities in target accounts within your territory and performing outreach via email, phone, and social media. The SDR will play a key role in executing the go-to-market strategy that shapes the future of internet capital markets. The SDR is often the first point of contact for prospective clients, so high professionalism, probing for business challenges, and articulating how R3's Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology can solve their problems are essential skills. Responsibilities
  • Respond to, engage, and qualify inbound leads to identify new sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to build account intelligence, identify key contacts, and uncover opportunities through direct engagement and research
  • Analyze market trends to inform the GTM strategy and identify opportunities within target accounts
  • Develop and execute a prospecting plan through phone and email campaigns
  • Perform continuous outreach via phone, email, and social media to generate interest, set appointments, and build the pipeline
  • Engage with prospects via phone and email with attention to detail and curiosity
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology and R3's products to educate and nurture leads until they are ready to speak with an AE
  • Help increase awareness and drive attendance to special projects and events
  • Maintain detailed records of all lead and account interactions in Salesforce
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned quotas
Required Skills
  • Sales Experience: 2+ years in business development, inside sales, or sales; some closing experience is a strong plus; proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills; strong organizational abilities; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Tools & Industry Knowledge: Experience with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Outreach; interest or background in fintech is a plus
  • Mindset & Working Style: Highly motivated, results-driven, positive attitude, adaptable to fast-paced startup environment
