An excellent opportunity for an experienced Sea Freight Forwarding professional looking to move from operations into a more commercial, customer-facing role.

You'll combine your operational knowledge with customer management, quotations, sales support and business development, with a clear pathway towards account management and commercial sales.

Candidates will need relevant sea freight forwarding and sales experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and follow up on import and export sea freight quotations.
• Manage existing customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop relationships with customers, carriers, agents and suppliers.
• Provide practical freight solutions using your operational expertise.
• Support prospecting, customer meetings and new business activity.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and pipeline records.
• Work closely with operations on new customer onboarding and handover.
• Report sales activity and pipeline progress to management.

Essential Experience

• Minimum 3 years' hands on Sea Freight Forwarding experience - essential.
• Strong knowledge of FCL, LCL, import and export processes.
• Experience obtaining rates and preparing customer quotations.
• Strong customer and supplier communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in developing a career in sales.
• Experience with CargoWise or a similar freight system.
• Good Microsoft Office skills and a full driving licence.

Desirable

• Account management or sales support experience.
• Knowledge of customs and international trade.
• Existing contacts within the freight forwarding industry.
